Katschberg Description

Description

Katschberg is a small but perfectly formed resort situated on the border of Carinthia and Salzburgerland provinces, about 1˝ hours south east of Salzburg. At 1640 metres, Katschberg not only offers a great snow record but stunning views of pine-clad mountains stretching as far as the eye can see. The 60km of pistes are particularly suited to beginners and intermediates. Moreover, it’s making things easy and enjoyable for families where Katschberg comes into its own. Its popularity with families lies in its easy access to a charming, uncrowded ski area, dedicated nursery slopes and children’s ski areas and a good choice of family-focused non-ski activities. The resort retains a traditional atmosphere centred around a small village centre, just 250m from the newly built Hotel Cristallo. A ski bus links the resort to the nearby villages of Rennweg and St Michael.
