Madonna di Campiglio Description
In a sheltered sunny valley in the Brenta Dolomites, the ski area of Madonna di Campiglio extends to include the neighbouring resorts of Folgarida and Marilleva with stunning scenery and challenging black runs. A full area ski pass is required in Madonna di Campiglio which alows you to ski this whole region which also includes Passo Tonale. The scenery is awesome and the resort of Madonna di Campiglio is built in attractive traditional style. Originating as a shelter for travellers crossing the Alpine passes, Madonna di Campiglio later developed into a favourite summer resort for the Austrian nobility and a Habsburg Carnival is held each winter. Ferrari Formula One press conference is held in January in Madonna di Campiglio and attended by many top racing drivers.

The Apres Ski scene is very lively with many options. There are a few nightclubs and many bars, which all provide excellent venues to party the night away after a day of skiing. Madonna di Campiglio also has a number of excellent restaurants that serve a wide range of traditional and Italian cuisine.
